Natalie Nauta

Natalie’s journey as an artist started when she moved to Miami in 1998. Natalie is inspired by the colors she sees in nature and the different colors of the oceans and waters that surround us. Natalie shares her multidisciplinary artistic expression through the colors and forms she uses in her paintings.

She has been featured in several national and international shows in South Florida, Puerto Rico , Curacao and Wyoming. Natalie has worked closely with commercial interior designers and decorators, and as a result her art can be found at The Strand Curacao Resort , and at the recently opened Marriott Resort Hotel on the island of Curacao.

Natalie’s art occupies the ephemeral space between realism and abstraction, between dream and wakefulness. she reconnects you to memories that evoke serenity and peace. Natalie was deeply inspired by the natural beauty and complexity of the coastal region and the bodies of water that surround it .Her work is a dialogue of light, shadow and energy followed by the incorporation of opaque textures and transparent layers . Her form of creativity opens itself to fresh interpretations and perpetual reimagining . Each time you look at one of her pieces, the experience is different.
